Resource: Love Is Respect

Love is Respect is an online resource for older teens and young adults. Its primary focus is on intimate partner relationships with emphasis on “being on the same page” with one’s partner regarding definitions, boundaries and consent, “an ongoing mutual agreement between partners about what they want to experience.”

Good Jobs Challenge Grant Supports Regional Career Connections

The North Central Career Connect Washington Network and the Apple STEM Network was awarded the Good Jobs Challenge Grant, a Washington Jobs Initiative Sectoral Partnerships being organized by The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), Employment Security Department, and Career Connect Washington (CCW).

NCESD Rolls Out Bicycle Education To First Schools In Region

As part of the historic Move Ahead Washington transportation bill, passed in March 2022, a school-based bicycle safety education program is rolling out to grades 3-8 Physical Education classes across Washington. NCESD has been selected by the grant provider, Cascade Bicycle Club, as a first-year partner and has already delivered bikes to four schools in North Central Washington.

The Washington State Department of Health has recently published a new webpage, Teen Health Hub WA, or The Hub. Created by the Department of Health Adolescent and Young Adult Health Team, in consultation with teens and young adults in Washington State, including a dedicated Youth Advisory Board, the page is designed for continuous expansion.
