Public Health Resources

North Central ESD (NCESD) works collaboratively and in partnership with the AESD Network, Washington State Department of Health (WA DOH), Office of Superintendent of Public Instructions (OSPI), and our region’s three Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJs) in addressing public health concerns in the PreK-12 school setting. NCESD supports public health initiatives, including activities addressing COVID-19, other emerging infections, and threats to student health and well-being.

Evidence-based guidelines, consultation, and resources are provided to school administrators, school nurses, and school staff in support of public health efforts. Listed resources provide direction to national, state and regional health data, guidelines, and tools, but the list is not intended to be exhaustive. Contact NCESD School Nurse Corp or Comprehensive School Safety (Student Safety & Well-Being Department) for more resources.
