Overview
This four-hour professional learning opportunity is for instructional paraeducators, K-12. Participants will deepen their understanding of the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) requirements, specifically Cultural Identity and Diversity. This course covers 4 of the required 28 units of study hours that align with the FCS learning objectives.
Objectives:
- Describe ways to identify and respond to racism, discrimination, and stereotypes in the classroom
- List strategies for supporting cultural responsiveness and anti-biased instruction
- Describe ways to foster and support a safe, positive, and culturally inclusive environment
