Welcome to the 2022 -2023 school year. The energy and positivity across our region this August has really given me great hopes for the new school year. It is with great pride that the team of professionals at NCESD 171 embraces the opportunities and responsibilities for student and adult success.

In May, the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) approached the Career Connected Learning team at the North Central Educational Services District with the idea to host an employer round table event to hear from the community and discuss ideas for expanding worksite learning and apprenticeships.

The North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) has announced the hire of Ashley Goetz and promotion of Stephanie Andler as Associate Directors of Student Success and Learning. In the NCESD’s continual efforts to create new standards of excellence in order to lead, serve and support each of the 29 school districts in the region, the Student Success and Learning department is undergoing some exciting transitions. The NCESD is pleased to welcome two additions to the Student Success and Learning leadership team.

This year, the regional CCW Network is honored to give the 2022 Keystone Award to Kristi O’Neill, Omak Senior Education & Employment Advocate with the Foundation for Youth Resiliency & Engagement. In the second part of this series, we celebrate a well-known, trusted and respected individual whose servant leadership inspires others around her to imagine a vibrant connected community to engage in youth development.
