Overview
This session will provide hands-on practice with developing class-wide systems, routines, and prevention strategies that build efficient classroom management systems. Key components will include:
- Positively stated expectations
- Attention signals and transition routines
- Visual schedules
- Engagement strategies and opportunities to respond
- Reinforcement systems
Strategies will be modeled throughout the session and participants will have time to start building their own classroom management plan. Tier 1, or classroom-level strategies, will be emphasized. Examples of Tier 2 and 3 strategies will be reviewed with examples.
