Organized by NCESD School Nurse Corps and Chelan-Douglas County Health District Emergency Preparedness
Join us for a comprehensive hybrid emergency response training that includes First Aid and CPR for all ages, AED use, and Stop the Bleed techniques. This course is designed to equip you with essential skills to respond effectively to medical and injury emergencies, including life-threatening bleeding control. Successful participants will earn a First Aid/CPR certification.
Course Structure
Part 1: Online Curriculum
📅 Completion Deadline: March 26, 2025
1. Registration & Access: After registering on pdEnroller & selecting your hands-on skill check time, you will receive links to:
- A personalized Health & Safety (HSI) online learning portal to complete the required modules
- An interactive Stop the Bleed training video
2. Completion Requirements:
- Participants must complete the HSI learning modules and Stop the Bleed interactive course
- Upon completion, certificates of completion will be issued by both HSI and Stop the Bleed
3. Submission: Submit both certificates of completion to sheilas@ncesd.org by March 26, 2025
Part 2: In-Person Skills Check
📅 Date: Friday, March 28, 2025
🕙 Time: One-hour skills check sessions from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: NCESD, 2nd Floor, Ponderosa Room
👟 Note: Skills check sessions will involve being on the floor. Please dress comfortably.
Additional Hands-On Training Included
✔ Naloxone Administration: Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, including the proper use of naloxone nasal spray.
Equip yourself with life-saving skills and be prepared to make a difference in emergencies!
