Computer Science Integration in the 3rd through 8th grade Classroom

Calling all 3rd through 8th grade teachers! Join us for a dynamic one-day event hosted by NCESD staff, where you'll discover the perfect blend of computational thinking, computer science, and climate science for your 3rd through 8th-grade classrooms.

Level 1 Threat Assessment Training

Threat Assessment Training, Level 1, including direct instruction on conducting Level 1 threat assessments at a school level, and the process for referral to a community-based Level 2 threat assessment support team.

FCS10 Positive and Safe Learning Environments

This three-hour professional learning opportunity is for instructional paraeducators, K-12. Participants will Identify equitable and inclusive strategies that can be used to support a positive and safe learning environment including de-escalation strategies.

Intro to DIR Floortime and Sensory Integration (ESIT)

This introductory course reviews the theoretical framework, scientific evidence, and scope of application of the model promoting functional emotional developmental capacities, reflective thinking, and overall mental health for all children and adults, including those with developmental disabilities.

Sustainable Design: Innovation to Reduce Global Impacts

Explore Sustainable Design and Green Chemistry through an asynchronous Canvas Course. The course will guide you through an introduction to green chemistry and sustainable design, include classroom lessons that incorporate science and engineering, provide green chemistry career explorations, highlight freely available resources and provide some time for implementation planning.

Early Learning Connection: Autism – Resources & Strategies

Gathering for all Early Learning partners to engage in shared learning opportunities: Participants will learn the basic characteristics of Autism as well as evidence-based teaching strategies. Review of evaluation, assessment, the diagnosis process as well as effective teaching strategies in the classroom and/or home environment for children with characteristics of Autism.
