Three Local Students Honored Statewide at 2025 Superintendent’s High School Art Show
Three outstanding young artists from North Central Washington earned statewide recognition for their artwork in the 52nd Annual Superintendent’s High School Art Show, hosted by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Their pieces were selected from hundreds of submissions across Washington state, following their initial exhibition in the 46th Annual NCESD Regional High School Art Show.
Award-Winning Student Artists from the NCESD Region:
These students first participated in the NCESD Regional Art Show, hosted in partnership with the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center. From there, their artwork advanced to the state-level show, where it stood out among submissions from across Washington.
About the Superintendent’s High School Art Show
Now in its 52nd year, the Superintendent’s High School Art Show is an annual event that celebrates the creativity and talent of high school students throughout Washington state. Student artwork is juried and selected for state-level awards by Superintendent Chris Reykdal, arts organizations, and education professionals. The event highlights the role of the arts in supporting student voice, skill, and expression.
Awards Ceremony – Watch Live
The 2025 State Art Show Awards Ceremony will take place on May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Join OSPI in person or online as they recognize this year’s artists and their work. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the OSPI YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
Regional Celebration of Student Artists
The students’ journey began at the 46th Annual NCESD Regional High School Art Show, which featured over 160 student submissions from across the region. In collaboration with the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, the regional show offers an important opportunity for young artists to exhibit their work locally and be considered for advancement to the state show.
