The Science in Our Valley seminar series began in October 2017 as a way for local scientists and science educators to bring their research to the community and as a way to engage and connect with one another. The series features presentations by local scientists and science educators as well as guests from outside the region.

The North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) has announced the hire of Ashley Goetz and promotion of Stephanie Andler as Associate Directors of Student Success and Learning. In the NCESD’s continual efforts to create new standards of excellence in order to lead, serve and support each of the 29 school districts in the region, the Student Success and Learning department is undergoing some exciting transitions. The NCESD is pleased to welcome two additions to the Student Success and Learning leadership team.

Kara Babst, Eastmont School District, Announced as 2022 Regional Classified School Employee of the Year

The North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) has selected Kara Babst, Eastmont School District, as the 2022 Regional Classified School Employee of the Year for the North Central Washington region. Babst is a paraeducator in the Developmental Preschool program at Eastmont School District and has been working with Wee Cougars Preschool since 2018.
