This year, the regional CCW Network is honored to give the 2022 Keystone Award to Kristi O’Neill, Omak Senior Education & Employment Advocate with the Foundation for Youth Resiliency & Engagement. In the second part of this series, we celebrate a well-known, trusted and respected individual whose servant leadership inspires others around her to imagine a vibrant connected community to engage in youth development.

The 2022 Legacy Awardee is Brenda Reagan, Human Resources Manager for the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) based in Wenatchee. The CCW Legacy Award is intended to recognize one person whose career impact has been profound and will have a lasting legacy in North Central Washington.

The regional network wishes to recognize Quincy High School teacher, Ross Kondo, with the 2022 Visionary Award. In this blog series, we celebrate three individuals whose contributions are changing the shape of the future workforce in North Central Washington. Each of these leaders have accomplished a great deal to ensure youth in the region connect with successful career paths. These award recipients stand out for the ways they commit to this work with integrity, generosity, grit and persistence.

For the past several years, students from the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center (WVTSC) complete an annual video production project that recognizes local educators who have received a classroom grant from North Central Education Foundation (NCEF).

In late April 2022, in the midst of windy, rainy, unseasonably cool, and pleasant spring conditions, over 230 5th and some 6th grade students from Waterville, Bridgeport, Tonasket, and Oroville participated in STEAM in the Field Events.

The North Central Education Foundation (NCEF) is gearing up for their 2022 Fall Campaign that will once again focus on small classroom grants (in the amount of $300) to help supplement teacher resources in the four counties served by North Central ESD (Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan).
